People always ask me what are some of the best things I ate at Feast Portland, and my initial response is always everything is just so damn good, but here are the top 5 dishes that made my palate go off the charts this past weekend.

  1. That damn Turkish Egg from Brad Farmerie of Saxon + Parole served at Brunch Village. Guys, this was life changing delicious. Everything from the sauce to the texture to the technique, Brad Farmerie is definitely the poached egg master.

2. That amazing corn dish from Justin Woodward of Castagna at Smoked. Corn, grits, clams, pork - It was essentially like eating Heaven in a bowl.

3. That meaty delicious bite from John Tesar of Knife Dallas at Smoked.  Fire roasted 44 farms beef short ribs, farafa, red wine gastrique. John Tesar didn't come to Feast Portland to mess around.

4. The chicken and rice dish from Nong of Nong's Khao Man Gai at Smoked.  She grilled up some chicken for her perfect chicken and rice dish. Nong never disappoints and always brings it. Portland = Nong.

5. The dough filled with savory chicken & spicy tamarind creme from Kimber Hoang of Magenta Restaurantat the Grand Tasting.  That tamarind creme was to die for, the plating was beautiful, and I'll definitely be adding Magenta onto my list of places to visit the next time I'm in Southern Oregon.
