Grace is an amazing dining experience, and the best dining experience I’ve ever had in my life.I thoroughly enjoyed Alinea, but there was something about Grace that made it different, and that made it special.Whether it was the stellar wine pairings that made every single dish transcend its boundaries all while transporting you to the next course, or the individual dishes themselves, which seemed more like emotional pieces of art that took your palate on a journey of senses, Chef Curtis Duffy’s Grace is an experience unto its own.

Everything was a finely tuned orchestra, with each person playing their part. The front of house guiding about the dining room like dancers on a stage in this culinary ballet; The kitchen, silent & pristine, yet producing so effortlessly and passionately the pieces of art I would be enjoying that night. The restaurant itself seemed part museum, part theatre. The lighting perfect, the table linens smooth and muted, yet seemingly designed and picked to elevate their surroundings and compliment the colors of the food and drink.

Grace is one of two 3 Michelin starred restaurants in Chicago, and one of fourteen 3 Michelin starred restaurants in the country. Chef Curtis Duffy once said that he wanted to have the best restaurant in the country; I’d have to argue it’s only a matter of time before he has the best restaurant in the world.

Here are some pictures of the delicacies enjoyed through the night…
